Fellowship Opportunities

  • How to do a Great Christmas Tea at Your Church - Please contact Diane Drake – reallifechurch@reallifechurch.net

  • Progressive Desert Silent Auction for the Bridge Warehouse
    Nita Huisinga, Willmar A/G
All silent auction items will be displayed at host homes while assorted deserts and coffee will be available.

  • Our Mother/Daughter Banquet has always been a success, although we have changed the name to "In the Pink" so as not to discourage ladies who have no daughters/children. The most fun part of this banquet is the theme. We've done a "back to the 50's & 60's" theme ("Girlsville Diner" - a 1950's soda shop where the men of our church dressed up like "Fonzie" and served us!), a "70's" theme (Heavenly Seventies), a "picnic" theme, etc. The decorations, wardrobe of the host team, and entertainment all make it a very special afternoon! Kathleen Sogge, Women’s Ministries Coordinator
River of Life A/G, Cold Spring, MN
  • In November we have our "Ladies Night Out" evening. We invite ladies to join together at a local supper club for a night out. This evening is mostly a fellowship night, although last year we did show the ladies three or four holiday decorating ideas...things you could make for the holidays to enhance your decor (Wreaths, ice candles, etc.). The ladies each ordered and paid for their own meal, which didn't seem to be a problem for anyone, and EVERYONE enjoyed this easy, carefree night out! Again, the decorations that evening and the invitations given ahead of time made this evening very special. Kathleen Sogge, Women’s Ministries Coordinator
River of Life A/G, Cold Spring, MN
  • Back to the Basics - This was a "back to school" theme and encouraged people to boost up their prayers for our school kids! We showed 3 videos of activities that we've had at church, one video of preschoolers, one of elementary age kids and one of youth/high school age kids. For each age group we had a teacher or leader from that age group speak to our ladies about that age, their needs for prayer, and what these kids mean to us and how we can pray for them. Our decorations were "back to the basic" school books and an apple at each table, we served apples and caramel for snack, and the invitations were made out of a flash card with the invitation part on the other side, that looked like a blackboard. We had a "Back to School Survival Kit" at each table (this was a brown paper lunch bag filled with several school items with a scripture verse attached, ex: a glue stick with the scripture "there is a friend that sticks closer than a brother"). These bags were given as door prizes and we had 4 other door prizes of "Back to Basics" beauty products. Kathleen Sogge, Women’s Ministries Coordinator

  • Blessing Domestic Abuse Victims- The Minnewaska Assemblies of God Women's Ministry has implemented a new way to bless their community! Glenwood, MN has a community advocacy program for women who find themselves in violent or domestic abuse situations. Someplace Safe has provided service to victims of abuse for twenty-five years. As a community project, Women's Ministries became involved with this program in helping to organize the clothing and household articles that are dropped off on a consistent basis. Our Men's Ministry built shelves for the tubs that WMs bought to store sheets, towels, etc.  On a monthly basis, we have two women check on this area and make sure everything is in order - with each type of product in a tub. This makes it much easier for a woman using this service to find the articles that will make her new area of living an actual home.
  • Blessing Widows - Put together a basket with various items and attach to each item the Scripture reference of an appropriate promise from God's Word. We suggest the Promise Basket be given to the widow a month or two after her spouse dies, not during the first few weeks.
