Bless the Women in the Adult Entertainment Industry Into the Light ministry of Maranatha Assembly of God in Forest Lake visits women who work in the adult entertainment industry.  Each month they take gifts for the women and build relationships.  For more information, please contact Pastor Orleen Haseltine (651/464-3131).
Bless the Mothers of Preschoolers...

River of Life Assembly of God in Cold Spring blessed 30 mothers of preschoolers (MOPS) on Valentines Day a few years ago with gift baskets that included:

  1. Bubble bath
  2. 12 pack of Diet Coke along with a bottle of grenedine and a jar of cherries and a really fun glass to serve the coke in
  3. Candles
  4. Snowman ornaments
  5. Earrings
  6. CD of Tony Bennet
  7. DVD of Sabrina
  8. Movie pass to see "End of the Spear"
  9. Fun bag of purse things like pens and chocolates
  10. Pier One mug filled with homemade Hot Cocoa with recipe
  11. Bottle of Starbucks Frappuccino along with homemade recipe that tastes the same
  12. Creative Memories scrapbooking supplies
  13. Homemade cheesecake
  14. New BOZ DVDs for their kids
  15. Perfume
  16. Wind and Willows cheeseball mixes
  17. An orange Bridging the Gap tote bag to put the goodies in
  18. A "Mom's Devotional Bible" endorsed by MOPS
  19. Two restaurant gift certificates.
Bless the Sheltered...

The Minnewaska Assemblies of God Women's Ministry has implemented a new way to bless their community! Glenwood, MN has a community advocacy program for women who find themselves in violent or domestic abuse situations. Someplace Safe has provided service to victims of abuse for twenty-five years. As a community project, Women's Ministries became involved with this program in helping to organize the clothing and household articles that are dropped off on a consistent basis. Our Men's Ministry built shelves for the tubs that WMs bought to store sheets, towels, etc. When we took on this project, the garage where the items are dropped off was in total disarray. There were grocery bags holding all the merchandise - no order whatsoever. On a monthly basis, we have two women check on this area and make sure everything is in order - with each type of product in a tub. This makes it much easier for a woman using this service to find the articles that will make her new area of living an actual home.

Bless the Widows...

Recently a woman in the church became a widow, when her husband died suddenly in a work-related accident. Lynn put together a basket with various items and attached to each item the Scripture reference of an appropriate promise from God's Word. The gifts and corresponding verses are below. You may think of other promises to include.

We suggest the Promise Basket be given to the widow a month or two after her spouse dies, not during the first few weeks.
