AFRICA - DOUG AND PAT BLUE

Doug and Pat began their missionary careers in Africa in the Democratic Republic of Congo. They worked there for seventeen years teaching, preaching, building, administration, medical, and responding to the needs of the emerging African Church.

The nation of Botswana was their second place of service. They served the Batswana Church in the Assemblies of God Bible College and with the African leaders to plant churches, administration of church leadership, youth camp ministry, and build their buildings. Pat taught and restarted the national Missionettes program for the church. The Blues began the first Aids emphasis program for the church by having the Edward the Elephant booklet translated into the Setswana language.

In 1998, the Blues moved to Madagascar to partner with the Malagasy Church in teaching at the Assemblies Bible College in Antananarivo. They worked in evangelism, planting churches, directed the Orphanage and medical clinic, and youth ministry until December of 2004.

In 2005, Doug and Pat joined the World Missions program at Global University to continue their ministry of preparing and training men and women to be ministers in our churches throughout the world. Their experience in Africa was sought by Global University to respond to the phenomenal growth of the Church in Africa. Doug is a member of the faculty of the School of Undergraduate Studies and coordinator for French language services. Pat assists in the School of Graduate Studies and is an instructor on the Undergraduate Studies faculty for Foundations of Health. The Blues ministry has broadened from serving not only countries on the continent of Africa but to all of the countries globally who are affiliated with the International office of Global University.
