IX) in 1764. Today it is a thriving city -the 18th largest in the United States. Its diversity is growing, along with the city and metro's population, which is now 2,801,033. Its climate is usually a little warmer than or equal to that of Minnesota in the summer. It has a rich history and hopes for a rich future.
